About Dr. David C. Pearson, M.D., a Jacksonville, Florida Board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon.

Prior to opening Pearson Facial Plastic Surgery® in the fall of 2004, Dr. Pearson built his reputation at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville where he had been on its attending staff as a facial plastic surgeon and member of its teaching faculty for several years.

In addition to his practice experience of more than two decades, Dr. Pearson's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Virginia (B.A., 1990), and a doctoral degree in medicine (M.D., 1994) from the Medical College of Virginia.
After medical school, he received his internship training in general surgery and his residency training in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At the completion of his five-year residency, Dr. Pearson was accepted into an AAFPRS-accredited fellowship in his home town of Toronto, Canada where he pursued additional concentrated study in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face and neck under the teaching of one of the best rhinoplasty surgeons and facial plastic surgeons in North America, Dr. Peter Adamson. It was at the completion of this fellowship that Dr. Pearson was invited to join the staff of Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.

He strongly emphasizes that specialization in the face is essential to delivering consistent results and achieving the highest patient satisfaction. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is proud to be the first surgeon in Clay county certified by the ABFPRS.
